FLASH Diagnostics at Medlab Middle East 2025

From February 3–6, 2025, FLASH Diagnostics participated in Medlab Middle East, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This premier event brought together over 20,000 attendees and 900 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, highlighting its global significance in the field of laboratory medicine.

Our Co-founder and CEO, Xiao Lu, represented FLASH Diagnostics at the event, where we collaborated with our strategic partner, BSK Basic China, a leading manufacturer of lateral flow components and rapid diagnostic products. Together, we showcased the FLASH molecular diagnostics platform, emphasizing its versatility and portability for use in point-of-care, clinical, veterinary, and field settings.

Medlab Middle East 2025 featured a robust scientific conference program with 12 conference tracks, over 200 speakers, and more than 4,000 delegates. Key topics included artificial intelligence in diagnostics, genetics, personalized healthcare, and the newly introduced Women’s Health Leadership Forum.

During the exhibition, we engaged with distributors, suppliers, healthcare innovators, and diagnostics companies from across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Many expressed interest in distributing our products or co-developing pathogen-specific tests tailored to their local market needs.

A highlight of our platform was the SampleDirect cartridge, which impressed visitors with its ability to extract nucleic acids from diverse sample types—including swabs, blood, and urine—without the need for centrifuges, lab instruments, or cold chain logistics. The simplicity, speed, and affordability of the FLASH Test Kit sparked strong interest, particularly in regions seeking cost-effective alternatives to lab-based PCR.

Beyond showcasing our technology, Medlab was an opportunity to gain valuable feedback from professionals across different verticals—veterinary diagnostics, aquaculture health, public health labs, and even potential future human health applications. It reinforced our belief that the need for fast, accurate, and field-ready molecular testing is truly global.

This milestone marks an important step in FLASH’s journey toward international growth. We left Dubai with promising leads, potential regional partnerships, and renewed motivation to continue pushing boundaries in molecular diagnostics.

We’re excited about what’s ahead—stay tuned for more updates as we grow our global footprint.
