FLASH Diagnostics Launches the FLASH VetID™ System in Hong Kong
In September 2025, FLASH Diagnostics officially launched the FLASH VetID™ System in Hong Kong — marking a major milestone in making rapid, in-clinic molecular diagnostics accessible to every veterinary practice.
The launch took place during the VSH Symposium 2025, where clinicians, specialists, and industry partners were among the first to see the VetID™ System in action. Over the course of the event, we demonstrated how FLASH enables veterinarians to perform PCR-level nucleic acid testing directly inside the clinic, delivering accurate results within minutes instead of days.

A Breakthrough for Everyday Veterinary Practice

The FLASH VetID™ platform is designed for simplicity, speed, and reliability. With a fully integrated workflow that requires minimal hands-on time, clinicians can now test for infectious diseases during the consultation — improving decision-making, reducing turnaround times, and enhancing patient outcomes.
Current Test Menu
The VetID™ System currently supports rapid detection of key canine and feline pathogens, including:
- Babesia gibsoni
- Ehrlichia canis
- Leptospira spp
- Canine parvovirus (CPV)
- Canine distemper virus (CDV)
- Feline panleukopenia virus (FPV)
- Feline herpesvirus Type 1 (FHV-1)
- Feline calicivirus (FCV)
- Chlamydia felis
- Bordetella bronchiseptica
- Mycoplasma felis
These tests reflect the most common and clinically relevant infectious agents affecting dogs and cats across Hong Kong and the region.
Strong Interest From Clinics Across Hong Kong
We are grateful for the optimistic response from local veterinarians.
Free trial slots are filling up quickly, and we are now working closely with partner clinics to support onboarding, training, and early deployment.

Looking Ahead
FLASH Diagnostics is committed to expanding the VetID™ test menu and bringing our platform to new markets across Asia and beyond. Our mission remains clear: to make molecular diagnostics simple, accessible, and available wherever clinicians need it.
