FLASH Diagnostics Signs Strategic Distribution Partnership with MEGACOR for Europe
FLASH Diagnostics is proud to announce a strategic distribution and market rollout framework with MEGACOR Diagnostik GmbH, the Austria-based leader in veterinary rapid diagnostics. The agreement was formally signed at a ceremony held at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) Arena, marking our official entry into the European veterinary market.
MEGACOR as Our European Hub
Under the agreement, MEGACOR will serve as the central logistics, stocking, and distribution hub for FLASH VetID™ across Europe. Initial commercial activity will focus on Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, with a pan-European roll-out planned. MEGACOR will use its established logistics network and regional sub-distributors to bring the platform to veterinary clinics across the continent.
MEGACOR brings a 38-year track record in veterinary rapid diagnostics and customers in 69 countries and regions. Pairing that experience with FLASH VetID™ lets us bring in-clinic molecular diagnostics to European practitioners with the local support, stocking, and service they expect.

Our CEO and co-founder, Dr. Xiao Lu, said the partnership is “a major validation of Hong Kong-born innovation on the global stage,” and that it lets us combine our diagnostic technology with “a world-class European supply chain.” Our COO and co-founder, Dr. Alan Rodriguez, added that we look forward to building operational momentum as we bring the platform to clinics across Europe.
Dr. Mario D. Löwenstein, President and CEO of MEGACOR, attended the ceremony together with co-CEO Ms. Claudia Schaefer Löwenstein. A veterinarian by training, he recalled that the moment he first saw FLASH VetID™, he recognised its potential to bring PCR technology into the clinic and give practitioners definitive answers during a routine consultation.
A Hong Kong Milestone
The ceremony brought together veterinary professionals from Hong Kong, representatives of HKSTP, and leaders from the HK Tech 300 innovation programme. Representatives from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) also attended, which meant a great deal to us, as FLASH Diagnostics began in 2022 as an HKUST spin-off.
